Your new company
You will be joining a national thought leader working either remotely, or from their headquarters in the heart of Southampton. The organisation is immediately seeking a JavaScript Software Engineer with some modern framework exposure (React\/Node) and an interest in pushing cloud technologies (AWS\/Azure) and TDD\/BDD. They have continued to grow throughout Covid and have some of the best retention rates for staff on the south coast.

Your new role
Data is at the heart of this organisation. You'll be working to deliver customer projects at pace so can expect variety and to be positively challenged in the role. The applications developed are generally enterprise level, and you'll slot into a sizeable engineering team that have adopted to the current climate and are excelling in a hybrid model of working.

As part of the role, you will have daily contact with stakeholders and team members so should be able to communicate concepts to non-technical staff. You will be a proponent of software best practice and Engineers here generally are agnostic, able to move across technologies and following agile practices. The software they ship is always clean, testable, secure and optimised for delivery.

The business encourages training and development and will work with each individual to grow your skill set consistently. They are big on creativity so encourage knowledge-shares and collaboration across different departments. They always look to grow their own and this role offers the chance to develop through Senior, Lead and Principal Engineer titles, and eventually moving to Software Architecture or another tech avenue, as they can really offer great career progression.

What you'll need to succeed
We're looking for a Mid-Level JavaScript Engineer with a strong background in delivering solutions; your knowledge will encompass a wide variety of technologies such as React, Redux, Node.js and cloud technologies.

Experience around Deployment, Debugging, Testing, Scaling and Monitoring scalable applications is expected, and a track record with JavaScript API would be useful.

Knowledge of modern engineering best practice like TDD, BDD and Automated Testing and a general support of Agile, iterative and incremental development will serve you well.
