Project Manager - Groundwork & Frame Contractor
Hertfordshire
£70,000 - £100,000 (PAYE)
£300 - £450 per day (Limited Company)
About the Company
This privately-owned client who is based inside the M25 is a leading name within the construction industry. Their current annual turnover is in excess of £90M and with plans in place for growth over the next 5-10 years, this business is in an exciting position moving forward.
As a company they undertake a variety of works including demolition, groundwork's, enabling works, structural alterations, soil remediation and stabilisation for clients which include Kier, Westfield, Bam Nuttall and ISG. Projects are undertaken throughout London and our client's strong reputation for successfully finishing challenging projects has been built on delivery and trust.
About the Opportunity
We have been asked to find specialist groundwork and concrete frame Project Managers capable of delivering packages ranging in value from £1 million up to £10 million each.
Individuals will need to have a strong understanding of everything from piling, groundworks, basement construction and concrete frame construction, while working on both residential and commercial projects.
Usual duties will apply from overall management of the site team, technical management of the programme and works, through to management of the client and surrounding aspects (i.e. health & safety, temporary works and client meetings).
About the Benefits and Rewards
For this permanent position, we are targeting candidates looking to earn anywhere from £70,000 to £100,000 per annum however specific salary will be defined upon experience and suitability. Furthermore, there will be a generous package offered; travel allowance OR company vehicle in addition to standard benefits associated with a successful company (bonus scheme, pension, laptop, phone etc.).
About the Requirements
Suitable candidates will ideally be degree qualified in civil engineering or construction management and will be able to show a strong history from a site engineer level through to management over the last 5-10 years.
It is crucial that candidates can show a strong amount of concrete frame and groundwork construction background having worked for rival RC frame and groundwork subcontractors in the UK and ideally experience of working in London and the South East. Candidates from a main contract or different subcontract background cannot be considered.
Regarding software, our client uses the usual Microsoft programmes, standard email functions and Asta Power Project for planning / programming works. Project Managers will be required to use all these tools
