Vacancy Description
The Change Implementation Engineer plans the rollout of engineering changes at sites across the client's portfolio of automated / robotic material handling solutions.
Pulling together input from stakeholders from live and in-build sites, they define the level of impact for each site and develop work packs that field engineers can deploy.
Closely working with product specialists, realisation / implementation teams, supply chain and field engineers, the role supports the business in aligning with its strategic goals and allows it to scale.

Key Responsibilities
* Understand the scope of engineering changes to automation products and the associated impact to live and in-build sites
* Develop work packs to roll out changes at sites in the most efficient and cost-effective manner, i.e. consolidating where appropriate to maximise product uptime
* Receive and review handover pack from change tryout, acting as point of contact with production engineering and liaising work with all impacted stakeholders to develop rollout plans, including supply chain (for WIP product), implementation (for product at in-build sites), engineering operations (for product at live sites) and field engineering (to plan the availability of resources to implement the rollouts) with product specialists as required
* Review product defining data pack for completeness in conjunction with product development
* Coordinate and ensure part availability in conjunction with supply chain
* Provide complete and comprehensive work packs for field engineers to roll out
* Working alongside multiple local & international teams, simultaneously enabling the business to align to its strategic goal and scaling
Skills and Experience Required
Minimum:
* Project engineering - demonstrable experience & success
* Field installation of products and / or systems
* Acceptance testing
* IT literate, proficient with Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite
* Excellent technical and practical competence relating to automation and general engineering
* Experience of projects and products in manufacturing, automotive, airports, FMCG distribution or similar field
* Aptitude to debate detail (both technical and commercial) with both internal and external parties
* Commercially aware and consider cost impacts on decisions and proposals
* Work in a safe manner at all times and appreciate the implications and requirements of relevant product safety and compliance
* Technical / Engineering qualification, to at least HND level in a relevant field
Preferred (in addition to minimum):
* International working experience
* Appreciation of applicable directives, codes standards etc (eg machinery directive)
* Appreciation of asset management and associated tools
