Job description

The role

To assist in the overall operations and efficiency of the training department. To offer support to the other training coordinators and to the business units. Provide a complete health and safety training solution to the business units.

Key accountabilities

Upon receipt of request, source, administrate and monitor both external and in-house courses.
Produce joining instructions and issue to delegates where applicable
Responsible for ensuring all courses meet the required standards
Ensure the brokers are following the correct procedures and are offering the lowest prices
Continuous liaison with training providers to ensure best quality, cost effective training
Maintain and complete training records ensuring all information is correctly entered into the system and all certifications and cards are uploaded into Workspace
Provide training information for tenders
Following the new starter process to check training recordsEnsure all invoices are submitted to accounts, and approve once they have been allocated.

Skills & experience

Knowledge of training procedures
Good communication skills, verbal and written
Good IT skills - Word, Excel and Outlook
Previous experience of using a training database advantageous
Confidentiality
Working independently and on own initiative
Good interpersonal skills with the ability and self-confidence to build strong working relationships internally and externally at all levelsPrevious experience and understanding of health and safety training requirements would be beneficial
