Job description

Expanding niche provider of automation and robotic solutions to industry is looking to increase its engineering capability with several software engineers. You will be an experienced at developing software in a design and manufacture (Special purpose machinery) environment with a proven ability to solution-manage complex requirements for global customers
JOB PURPOSE
* To be the software architect and high level designer of
* Takes responsibility for the integrity of software design and its communication to the rest of the business.
* System/Software Design and Engineering activities across all phases of the design and build process from Client specification through to manufacturing and client support on or off site.
* Authority - Checking.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & ATTRIBUTES
* Bachelor's Degree in Electronics or Software Engineering (Master's preferred for progression).
* Demonstrated aspiration, or eligibility, to register at Incorporated or Chartered Engineer status with a recognised Engineering institution.
* Experience working in the Software or Systems Engineering field.
* Experience in writing code in C# and/or VB.NET (Other languages can be considered)
* Ability to use Microsoft Visual Studio (2017 onwards preferred).
* Understanding of Programmable Logic Controllers and other automation technology is desirable. eg Omron, Keysence
* Ability to write clear and comprehensive technical documentation.
* Highly analytical mind, with exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to create highly creative and innovative solutions to our clients' problems.
* Ability to communicate technical ideas to non-technical people in a visually and verbally.
* Ability to use hand tools and diagnostic equipment
