TEC Partners are pleased to be working with a well-funded point of care diagnostics business who are addressing how molecular diagnostics will have an impact on how infectious disease are managed at a point of care. The technology is going to save resources, time and improve accuracy unlike any other medical device on the market presently, fundamentally changing the way infectious diseases are managed moving forward.

Electronics Technician Role:

As Electronics Technician you will help develop an incredibly fast PCR system. You will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary R&D team and manufacturing group panning microfluidics, molecular biology, electronics, software and mechanical engineers to build and maintain prototypes and equipment.

Electronics Technician Responsibilities:

Wiring, soldiering and PCB modification for the equipment and systems
Mechanical modification of parts - familiarity with common machine shop tools
Sourcing and creation of prototype adaptors, mounts and housings for circuits, sensors and mechanical stages
Undertaking experimentation including electrical characterisation
Building and programming control electronics e.g. Arduino-based
Record keeping of modifications made

Electronics Technician Requirements

HND / C&G or equivalent in electrical engineering, electronics or similar experience
Experience in similar prototyping and testing activities
Practice data recording and good record keeping
Willing to contribute to research and development activities
Formal testing of subsystems for product validation
Experience in an ISO 13485 environment is highly desirable
