Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - Hertfordshire - up to £65,000 + Benefits - Ref 507

I am currently recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to work for one of the UKs leading consultancies based in Hertfordshire (2 days from home). Salary up to £65,000 + Benefits.

The organisation has been in operation for many years and given the consistent high quality of work they produce for their clients they have become the go to consultancy for many. They have a fantastic reputation in the market for excellence, employ some of the best engineers in the industry within their disciplines and are renown for being able to solve some of the most complex and challenging engineering problems their clients are faced with. Being a consultancy, the work is extremely varied and no day, project or product is ever the same.

To support the ongoing growth of the business they now have the need to appoint a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer on a permanent basis who can work from their state-of-the-art offices in Hertfordshire with the option to work 2 days from home if of interest.

Within this role as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be design and developing products from concept to manufacture. Most of the products are electro-mechanical and therefore designing electronic enclosures will form a large part of the role. Being a senior you will be expected to lead and mentor the more junior engineers within the team.

Essential requirements:

* Minimum of 5 years experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer or similar

* 3D CAD

* Experience designing electronic packaging / electronic enclosures

Desirable Requirements:

* Experience working within a consultancy
