An opportunity has arisen for a Certification Engineer to join a motivated, enthusiastic and dynamic team during a key phase of the development programme.

A successful applicant will join a team in the delivery of Certificates of Design on behalf of the Chief Engineer and Chief Systems Engineer, while working within the Platform Integration and Export Group. The role covers at least two Aircraft Integration contracts as well as an export programme.

The Role

The role is for a Certification Engineer in the Platform Integration and Export Group. The primary aim of the role will be to deliver the Certification of Platform Integration variants of the Brimstone Missile.
This will involve leading the commissioning, collection and reporting of Certification evidence using the IBM DOORS requirements management tool.
Delivery of certification task will require engagement with other MBDA teams, tracking the progress of evidence as its generated and reporting this progress to the Chief Systems Engineer, Chief Engineer and MoD.
The role may also include supporting other tasks in the Platform Integration and Export Group such as:

Supporting in-service operation by responding to user queries
Reviewing technical information from MBDA subject matter experts

The Platform Integration and Export Group is a motivated and delivery focused team who aim to deliver On Time, On Cost and On Quality. The Group supports high profile contracts with the MoD, Aircraft Platform Design Authorities and Export Customers, and works close with the RAF, supporting live firing trials and operation usage of the weapon.

The team retains a large body of technical knowledge relating to missile and aircraft operation and would readily welcome a candidate with an appreciation of military aircraft.
