You will be working for a fantastic retail organisation based in Watford.

Your new role
The main Purposes of this role:

* To be responsible for the entire Tax\/VAT\/Duty areas including all Computations, Returns, Compliance and submissions for the businesses
* To support the business in tax compliance matters including implementing latest tax related legislation to ensure the business is tax compliant
* To prepare and submit Tax-related reporting for US Group Finance and Tax teams
* To advise local team on US Tax related matters impacting UK operations and accounting

The main Responsibilities include:

* This role will cover work across multiple areas of taxation, including corporation tax, indirect tax, capital allowances, tax strategy obligations, tax risk and others tax compliance.
* Responsible for Tax Returns and computations - both quarterly and annually, and ensure the quarterly payments are made to HMRC deadlines
* Quarterly Local GAAP and US GAAP ETR calculation\/FIN48 review.
* Responsible for VAT Returns and Intrastats.
* This is a broad role and there will be a healthy amount of tax reporting, advisory and compliance work.
* Will act as a point of contact with the business on Tax and VAT questions.
* Stay ahead of key corporate Tax, VAT and Duty legislation impacting the business. Ensure the company is fully compliant with the latest legislation through cross department communication and process audit.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in your application you must be\/have:

* Qualified Tax Accountant\/Qualified by experience
* UK Tax and VAT experience essential
* Experience of corporate tax, VAT, duty and tax related calculations and compliance in a multi-site retail business
* US GAAP accounting and Tax experience preferred, not essential
* Proactive, hands-on and enthusiastic with strong attention to detail.
* This role requires an ability to work to strict deadlines, collating and reviewing information from a wide range of sources.
* A Team player; comfortable in liaising with operational teams
