Teaching Assistant - Full-time/Part-time

St Augustine's Catholic Primary School is looking to appoint two term-time Teaching Assistants who are highly skilled and enthusiastic to provide support in class and include supply cover in classes as required by the school. Experience of working with children who require a highly differentiated curriculum, support with memory and auditory processing, gross and fine motor skills programmes, social skills and emotional guidance is beneficial but not essential. All teaching assistants provide half an hour lunch cover daily. One post is for three days and one five days. Please note that this may be flexible. Additionally one post would be supporting a pupil with complex and challenging behaviour.

Daily hours: 8.55am to 3.25pm with half an hour lunch break. Immediate start if possible.

You must have a good standard of English and Maths and be able to communicate effectively with adults and children. You will be expected to use your initiative and to contribute your ideas. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with children; works well as part of a team and has a good sense of humour!

Applicants do not need to be practicing Catholics but will need to support the Catholic aims and ethos of the school.
