We win when our customers win…and that drives everything we do!How You'll Help Us Connect The WorldAs a Staff SW Engineer working with the Software Manager, you will be learning with and be part of the team developing innovative and high-quality embedded products with a solid focus in STB and PayTV Technology.In a customer facing role you will have full responsibility for generating and maintaining quality SW, designs and associated documentation for software components in compliance with current CommScope processes and to meet the project requirements.The ideal candidate for this environment will be enthusiastic, collaborative, accountable, pro-active, analytical and eager to learn. Responsibilities in this role include:Develop embedded Linux/RTOS solutions for STB. Develop and integrate the SW interfaces to connect SW Application layers.Analyse and develop interfaces and drivers, debug field issues and suggest/modify changes to support software improvements.Triage customer requests to prioritise and validate issues and submit into the tracking system, so they can be either closed or escalated.Complete tasks from beginning to end including testing and debug to handle work you're doing with high quality standards.Generate clear reports on completed and ongoing activities.Required Qualifications:Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent professional experienceYou Will Excite Us If You Have:A passion for software development.Good knowledge in C/C++ programming in an embedded environment.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Experience of Linux device drivers and Networking is highly desirable.Experience of DVB Digital Video standards, Yocto Project and JavaScript are helpful but not crucial.Why CommScope?It's not very often you get a chance to connect with something extraordinary.
