White label Recruitment are very excited to be working with an extremely reputable and market leading manufacturing company who have been established for over 100 years. The company manufacture bespoke special purpose machinery, are based close to Blackburn with a turnover of £30million.

Due to a growing order book, the development of new products and staff progression the company is seeking a Project Manager to join their busy and growing Project Management team during a very exciting time. The role of the Project Manager is as follows:

* Although not directly responsible for staff, the Project Manager should supervise tasks that directly impact the project that he/she is managing, and this will involve supervision of staff.

* Make decisions as part of a team for the benefit of the project and the company.

* Generate an integrated project timeline/planning charts to ensure compliance with contractual delivery schedule.

* Manage the shipping of projects including documentation.

* Highlight deviations from plan and manage recovery programmes.

* Highlight resource requirements to the Production Management team.

* Generate clear and unambiguous specification/scope and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.

* Ensure the project complies to the company Risk Assessment and Technical Competence methodology (SafeXpert)

* Development and maintenance of budget reporting and technical risk analysis.

* Generate project estimates for hours/materials and ensure compliance to budgets.

Experience/skills required:

* Engineering background (machinery is desirable but not essential)

* Excellent communicator, dealing with different departments within a business e.g. design/manufacturing/sales

* Excellent customer facing skills

* Able to juggle multiple projects at different stages

* Confident in managing a project from start to finish

* Project Management background

* LEAN manufacturing background is desirable

* Can-do attitude
