M65Jobsearch are looking for Assembly Operatives

The Role

You will be expected to achieve high standards of quality, in line with targeted levels of output whilst working safely and maintaining full product traceability. You will be working as part of a team and you are expected to contribute to improving any working processes.

The main tasks of the role are outlined below:

• Prepare work to be accompanied by studying assembly drawings, bills of materials, parts lists, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools and materials.

• Assemble components to drawing requirements, fastening parts and subassemblies. • Verify assemblies to drawing requirements.

• Resolve assembly problems by notifying Co-ordinator.

• Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.

• Document actions by completing production and quality forms.

• Use computers in order to extract data.

• Contribute in a team working environment.

• Contribute to continuous improvement.

• Observe and practice the 5S principles.

The role also includes other general duties to maintain the efficient working of the department. The above list of tasks is not exhaustive and the post holder may be required to undertake duties as may be reasonably expected. All employees are required to be flexible and co-operative in order to assist in meeting business needs. This may include working in other departments, undertaking a variety of tasks, when necessary.

Scope

The AO will play a key role in the assembly of finished products to recognised standards and procedures to meet high quality, reliability and availability targets.

Skills and Abilities

• A methodical approach to systems and understanding of the importance of standards and established/agreed systems of work.

• Able to make decisions based on experience, have confidence to act and make changes within given boundaries.

• Good personal organisation under pressure from time, internal and external customers.

• Computer literate.

• Time management skills.

• Ability to read & interpret drawings.

• Good verbal communication and listening skills.

Experience/Knowledge

• Working in a manufacturing background, preferably engineering.

Qualifications

While no formal qualifications are specified the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate their compliance with the above Skills and Abilities requirements

• Adaptable over a broad range of work ranging from routine administration to assembly of parts.

• Flexible when required. Hours of Work 38 hours per week

Various Shifts Required

Days: Monday - Thursday 7.30am-4.15pm Friday 7.30am -12.30pm

Twilight: Monday - Thursday 4.00pm -12.00am Friday 12.00pm -6.00pm

Nights: Monday- Thursday 10.00pm - 7.30am
