Job Role: Workshop Manager (Re-Build)

Salary: £32,500 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.00am - 5.00pm

Location: Equipment Factory, Mossfield Mill, Bury

Job Description

Supporting all of our customers is our state-of-the-art Equipment Factory Facility, which houses a vast array of new and recycled foodservice devices. The impressive workshop is manned by a team of highly skilled engineers across 6 key areas.

Due to increased growth we are now looking for a Workshop Manager to lead a workshop-based team at Equipment Factory. As the Workshop Manager, you will be overseeing a growing, versatile team in high demand, responsible for the efficient dismantling and preparation to all our customer's assets.

A close relationship with internal departments will be key to performing within this role and so excellent interpersonal and communication skills are paramount, as well as a keen eye for detail while adopting engineering best practises to develop your team in both skills and experience to improve efficiency within existing processes.

* To plan and manage a productive environment

* To meet high demands for all our varied production lines

* To adapt and improve the workshop with positive changes to increase production

* Able to identify bottle necks and implement changes to prevent them

* Able to carry out ad hoc duties with minimal effect on production targets

* Manage departmental discipline, holidays, sickness and absence, etc

* Manage the recruitment process for the department

* Provide strong Leadership, support and guidance

Our Ideal Candidate

* NVQ level 3 in mechanical or electrical engineering

* Extensive experience in a management/supervisory role of a workshop or similar environment

* Excellent communication skills both verbal and written to be able to provide reports

* Possess high levels of integrity and drive to succeed

* Fully conversant with Microsoft packages
