An interim Data Architect Contract for 6 months, £600-£650 per day inside IR35

Your new company

You will be working for a leading central government organisation within a newly-formed Business Intelligence function as an enterprise Data Architect - the aim of the role is to help define the enterprise data architecture for the future and lead the way, to help improve and challenge the status quo.

Your new role

• The Data Architect will be expected to operate at enterprise level but also work in detailed data architecture and modelling to guide the organisation through data design, management and implementation. It is therefore essential that you have strong communication and analytical skills
• These activities will be relevant to the IT's modernisation plans, the wider technology transformation delivery roadmap, BI Strategy and the day to day technical sustainment work needed to maintain the estate.

What you'll need to succeed

• Extensive experience in a Data Architecture role with an understanding of Architecture frameworks, Datamodelling methodologies and data warehousing methodologies
• Proven ability in developing enterprise data strategies and supporting architectures, leading data architecture-based business change.
• Evidence of producing target and transitional data architectures in delivery of strategic initiatives and objectives.
• Proven ability to defining and governing Datamodelling and design standards, tools, best practices, and related development practices for enterprise data models.
• Experience defining data lake and data warehousing architectures and supporting schemas and pipelines.
• Experience of communicating the data architecture vision and roadmaps to stakeholders.
• Experience of working closely with relevant stakeholders to both understand the impact of and influence future organisational requirements to refine the data architecture roadmaps.
• Experience of supporting technical architects ensuring data architecture is considered at each stage of the design process.
• Experience in tackling data silo's largely driven by excel spreadsheets and transitioning into sustainable solutions
• Degree in a relevant subject such as Software Engineering, IT, machine learning, Datamodelling, mathematics or in a relevant field.
• Experience of Cloud based ETL/ELT technologies, Data Warehousing, Datamodelling and ETL Tools, Power BI

What you'll get in return

This is a 6 Month contract role, Inside IR35 to be based remotely (UK BASED). The day rate is £600-£650 per day.
