Job description

KPMG in the UK is part of a global network of member firms that offers Audit, Tax, Legal, Consulting, Deal Advisory, and Technology services. Powered by the talent of more than 16,000 people, we bring creativity, insight and experience to solve our clients' and communities' biggest problems.

What is Audit?

Audit is the largest of our UK practices and our teams provide independent insight, challenge, and high-quality audit expertise to organisations of all shapes and sizes. Our work in audit is all about examining organisations and ensuring their published accounts provide a 'true and fair' view of their financial position.

KPMG Technology Audit (Information Risk Management) Graduate Programme

The companies we audit continue to embrace technology at a fast pace, with bots, Cloud and Blockchain being the future norm. On this programme, you'll work as one team with our Financial Audit colleagues, supporting the audit in the evaluation of IT systems that underpin an organisation's key financial processes. You'll help to assess the control risks related to the information assets, either in IT management processes, financial and operational applications, technology infrastructure or technology projects. The nature of the work you'll do is largely investigative and you'll gain exposure to some of the largest global organisations, through to local medium/large sized businesses across one or more industry sectors - as well as to the breadth of technology used by these organisations.

Whilst you don't necessarily need to be a technical guru - our current graduates have degrees in a variety of subjects - you'll have an appetite to learn about technology.

Programmes are available nationwide.

Training and benefits

You'll have access to funded, relevant professional qualifications; an extensive programme of internal training geared towards your career and personal development; and the chance to use your skills to make a difference through a range of community volunteering initiatives. On this programme, you'll study for the Certificate in Accounting Finance and Business (ICAEW CFAB). We offer a competitive salary and a host of great benefits too, including 25 days holiday, study leave and a day off on your birthday.

Your qualifications

You'll need to have, or be on course to achieve, a minimum 2:1 degree in any discipline. We will however look at more than just your academic results and will also consider your strengths, values and motivations. See our 'How to Apply' sections on our Careers Portal for further guidance.
