Job description

Practitioner - Bedford Primary and Springwell Park Community Primary School Bootle L20.
Location: Liverpool
Salary: £18,074 - £20,401 per annum
Contract: Permanent, 5 days per week during Term Time only

Our mission is to get children in school, ready to learn - whatever it takes.

Using early-intervention and partnering with schools, local authorities and communities, our practitioners work one-to-one with vulnerable families. They look past the classroom, tackling issues like poverty and mental ill-health, providing bespoke support to overcome barriers to learning.

This is a varied role and the post-holder will be based across both schools. Bedford Park Primary 3 days per week and Springwell Park Community Primary 2 days per week.

The post-holder will work in close partnership with school staff to deliver a programme of casework and other activities to promote educational outcomes for disadvantaged children and families. The post-holder will need to be persistent, resilient and tenacious along with having the experience of working with hard to engage parents.

This is an exciting opportunity and successful candidates will have good experience of working effectively with social and emotional factors affecting a child's capacity to learn, strong abilities in engaging challenging children and their families, and a confident ability to form professional partnerships with children and their families along with experience of transition work.

The post-holder will work alongside key school staff in school to promote excellent attendance, reduce levels of absence and work with children and families to promote high levels of attendance and punctuality.

Closing Date: Tuesday 30th November 2021 at 9am
First stage Interviews: 2nd and 3rd December 2021 via Google Hangouts
Second stage interviews (at the school): WC 6th December 2021 in person - school TBC
