Senior Systems Engineer - Electronic Warfare
£34.77ph PAYE/ £44.60ph Umbrella
12 month contract

Advantage Resourcing are working in partnership with a prestigious manufacturing organisation operating within the defence sector to find a talented Systems Engineer to join their Electronics Warfare team on a 12 month basis.

The Systems Engineer role will be to initially work to define the Electronic Warfare elements of the support solution for the European Common Radar Solution (ECRS) contract.

The ideal candidate will have experience of developing and integrating a new capability, and be familiar with requirements from a mission data or operational perspective. It would also be advantageous if the candidate has experience in supporting the UK customer and is familiar with how this customer operates.

Job Description:

Assist in the development of EW capability for ECRS by:
- Supporting supplier and customer workshops
- Requirements capture
- Scoping EW mission data requirements for rig and flight test activities
- Supporting the Radar EDR in the definition of the ECRS Mk2 ICD
- Supporting the definition of the Test and Qualification Strategy for ECRS
- Supporting the ECRS EW Lead and ECRS Air Service Lead in the review of Avionics and Air Service ECRS documentation

Typical actions here will include:
* Participate in supplier workshops to define and develop Electronic Warfare (EW) product route maps to support ECRS
* Define the system level requirements with the customer and then expand these to include the derived requirements
* Work with suppliers to formalise these requirements
* Collaborate with the wider EW capability to develop a System Architecture to support ECRS
* Scope EW mission data requirements for rig and flight test activities
* Support the Radar EDR in the definition of the ECRS Mk2 Data ICD
Comparable experience within a similar systems engineering environment is required.
