£30,000 per annum Plus Benefits

We are a specialist repairs and maintenance service provider to public, domestic and commercial clients across the UK. Established in 1969, Liberty offers professional responsive repairs services, gas installation, maintenance and servicing, as well as energy solutions, electrical installations and property building services.

We are now looking to recruit an Accountant to join us in assisting the Finance Business Partner within Repairs & Maintenance in the production of monthly management accounts with supporting contract costing analysis.

Key responsibilities for this Accountant role are:

Preparation of budgets and forecasts in line with the Business Plan

Maintenance of financial ledgers and accounting processes

Ensure accounting policies comply with the relevant accounting standards and that these policies are followed

Preparation of the Monthly Profit and Loss Account and Balance Sheet

Timely production of statutory and internal financial reports

Monitoring of budgets to ensure targets within the budget and Business Plan are adhered to

Ensuring all Balance Sheet items are accurate and reconciled

Financial modelling, estimating and analysis of contracts

Ensuring that appropriate systems and internal controls are implemented and maintained

Reviewing Payroll Transactions to ensure accuracy

Recommend changes that will improve the company's financial performance and financial controls

Work closely with the Group Finance Team to facilitate year end consolidated accounts

Completion of all financial, regulatory and statutory returns (Corporation Tax Computation, CIS, CIBT)

Ensure that VAT recovery is maximised

Leading the bi-annual stock takes, ensuring all stock is accurately recorded

Ad hoc duties as and when required commensurate with the level of the job role

Experience in producing monthly management reports, strong Excel skills including v-lookups and pivot tables, proficient in using IT systems, including Microsoft office software in particular Outlook, Word and Excel. Strong analytical skills.
