Agile Delivery Manager

My client has an urgent requirement for an experienced Agile Delivery Manager to join a forward-thinking team within a software solutions specialist who lead the UK market. Completely unaffected by the pandemic, this organisation has an unparalleled product suite in a lucrative sector of the Solutions industry.

Agile Delivery Manager Role and Responsibilities:

- Manage a multi-skilled Delivery team of 6-8 staff

- Facilitate ceremonies for the team and aid product owners in maintaining a quality backlog

- Work with the Product Owners and Business Analysts to groom and funnel the product backlog into a delivery plan

- Help to define the definition of done and assist the team to adhere to it

- Assessing the Scrum Maturity of the team and organisation and coach the team to higher levels of maturity

- Facilitate discussion, decision making and conflict resolution and support/educate the Product Owner on refining and shaping the product backlog.

Agile Delivery Manager Skills and Experience:

- Significant experience in an Agile Delivery Manager role for a software development team, delivering commercial applications

- Demonstrable expertise in facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment and increasing transparency

- In-depth knowledge of the Scrum approach eg Burndown technologies, Retrospectives, Bugs management etc.

- A technical background to aid in prioritisation and best-practice

- Desire to learn new technologies, techniques and approaches and to work independently, with minimal supervision

- Excellent communication and mentoring skills with the ability to motivate and drive teams

My client is very progressive and there is a Research and Development feel to much of their software development work, with the focus on delighting customers and adding extra functionality as often as possible. The have embraced the Agile method completely and the role will involve responsibility for looking after a Delivery team of 6-8 staff
