Job description

I am looking for an experienced Buyer to join my client based in the West of Manchester.

My client is the biggest provider of roads, sewers and plot groundworks to residential new build developers in the North West.

The successful candidate will have experience within a similar role.

Tasks will include:

To provide a procurement service to the business to ensure that all materials and plant orders are placed in a timely manner.

Ensuring the effective control of procurement activity and the order approval process.

Providing operational support and assistance to the wider Commercial team, to ensure there is a key point of contact in relation to materials required.

Ensuring the effective compliance and control of the regional buying function.

Responsibility for requisitions, purchase orders, committing expenditure on internal systems and invoice queries.

Management of relationships with external suppliers.

Information reporting to the Head of Commercial as required.

Salary is dependant on experience - £30,000 - £45,000
