We are looking for a talented and experienced HR professional like you to join our HR team on a full-time permanent basis.About the RoleReporting to the local HR Manager we want you to bring your acquired recent HR advisor/generalist experience and skills along with your enthusiasm for all things HR, to support us on a day-to-day operational level across two of our paper mill manufacturing sites - Trafford Park and Skelmersdale. These two sites total approximately 200 employees including shift based, technical and support function positions. You will be expected to share your time between both sites. There may be occasions when you will be required to meet employees at the start or end of their shifts so flexibility is occasionally required to meet these work responsibilities. Some ad-hoc working from home may be possible on occasions based on work tasks to be completed. However, the key is to develop strong relationships to support the HR strategy with site employees, managers and other key stakeholders.We're looking for people who embody our values, aren't afraid to challenge, innovate, experiment, and move at a fast pace. If this is you, we'd love to talk.What You Will DoYou will be responsible for providing high-quality HR generalist support to both sites to support the delivery of the HR strategy as outlined below:-Recruitment responsibility for shift-based positions using the global HR digital platform, WorkDay, and working closely with the Talent Acquisition team on other roles as requiredSupport site and line managers delivering on all employee engagement activitiesWorking closely with the HR Manager to deliver on DE&I, mental health and well-being initiatives including ensuring internal communications are updated regularlyLead on establishing an apprentice academy across both sites (engineering and process manufacturing focused)Co-ordinate performance management and employee relations processes, providing accurate guidance and support in all HR processesReporting on employment related data - inputing data, analysing results from systems and forecastingSupport the development and delivery of site focused training initiatives as requiredImprove line manager capability through coaching and advising, providing accurate advice and guidance on all aspects of managing peopleEnsure consistency in HR approach across the sites aliging to legislation and local practiceWho You AreWe are looking for the following essential attributes:Proven experience of working in an HR team ideally in a shift-based manufacturing environmentCompleted CIPD level 5 as a minimum or strong HR equivalent experience in an advisor/ generalist role, with proven working knowledge of UK employment law to be able to advise stakeholders effectivelyIs a team player who actively demonstrates passion for sharing knowledge and information to colleagues and stakeholdersSelf-motivated; able to work on own initiative to achieve work objectivesHas a systemic approach to work with high attention to detail and accuracyAbility to multitask effectively meeting deadlines for all areas and within a changing work environmentAble to communicate at all levels of the business verbally and in writing in a professional mannerExperience of working on general MS Microsoft systems such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint.as well as with HRIS systems including inputting and reporting on data.Have strong administrative skills to support the Assistant as requiredAbility to travel to both Trafford Park and Skelmersdale as your working week will be split between both sitesIf you have worked on SAP, WorkDay, Interflex, this would be desirable but not essential as full training would be provided for our specific systems.What We Can Offer YouWe offer a competitive salary, plus other benefits including bonus opportunity, pension (10% employer contribution), holidays starting at 27 days + BHs, and PMI, and other local incentives.At Essity, we believe everyone's learning and professional development is unique and want to empower employees to reach their full potential in a winning culture motivated by a powerful purpose.At Essity, we embrace the individual and recognise the remarkable power that can be harnessed when different ideas, backgrounds, experiences and perspective come together.
