Mechanical Estimator - Excellent Long term career opportunity
I am currently working with a leading MEP/HVAC contractor, established in the UK for over 50 years, and with a very strong reputation for high profile project delivery UK wide.
They are currently looking to recruit a Mechanical Estimator to join their Estimating team, based out of their Manchester head office. They are going through a period of growth and are bidding and winning some great projects, so are looking to strengthen the team.
Working as part of a dynamic estimating/bid team, you will be responsible for compiling estimates for new business opportunities, coordinating all aspects of estimates including internal, sub contract, specialist and supply chain elements, drafting tender proposals for major projects.
As a business they have a strong reputation within major projects, so this is a chance to work on large scale high profile bids.

Role Responsibilities:
* Register and acknowledge receipt of enquiries
* Interpret and understand all project requirements from ITT documentation including technical and high level commercial elements.
* Manage/monitor all aspects of bids/cost plan preparation
* Build cost estimates for elements including Building Services MEP works, Site installation, preliminaries and site establishment, equipment and sub-contract costs, design costs, escalation and risk factors.
* Present detailed accurate estimates in a timely manner.
Person profile:
* Experience as a Mechanical Estimator, specifically in relation to the MEP or HVAC sector.
* Experience of bid preparation and management, working as part of a dynamic bid team.
* Previous experience in a similar role within the construction/engineering environment.
* Good computer literacy including Microsoft excel/word. Experience of Trimble would be advantageous
* Good inter personal skills and customer focused.
* Based in the North West of the UK, or willing to relocate. They do offer a degree of flexible working but you need to be commutable to the office.
