Client Details

Public Sector-type organisation is seeking a Change Manager to help establish effective, aligned comms within the organisation, stakeholders, L&D function and others - Ultimately to embed Change.

Salary up to £45,000 + INCREDIBLE pension and other organisational benefits

Description

Managerial

  • Lead the delivery of major projects, involving the Matrix management of cross-functional programme/project teams of technical, non-technical and third party.
  • Identify and manage the resourcing of specific programmes/projects, working with the Senior Responsible Owners (SROs), the Portfolio Office Manager, other programme/project managers and business managers as necessary
  • Work closely with programme/project teams and other stakeholders at all levels of the business to scope, create, and maintain detailed plans.
  • Define, delegate, co-ordinate and support the delivery of work packages
  • Proactively manage and report on progress, taking corrective action as required to keep tasks, teams and individuals on track.

Technical

  • Demonstrate best practice to define, plan and deliver projects and instil appropriate governance.
  • Create and maintain high-quality programme and project documentation and business cases for governance and audit.
  • Control changes to scope, schedules and costs using appropriate verification techniques.
  • Identify stakeholders and employ a range of engagement approaches to define requirements and achieve objectives, eg technical programme/project management workshops, product demonstrations, surveys.
  • Identify, analyse, track and manage risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies that may impact programme/project success
  • Identify, analyse, track and manage programme and project benefit contributions throughout the life cycle and through to realisation
  • Forecast project/programme budgets. Monitor, control and report on budget performance on behalf of the SRO

Profile

  • Recognised qualification in project management, such as PRINCE2 or equivalent
  • Recognised qualification in programme management, such as MSP or equivalent.
  • Recognised qualification in Agile project management techniques
  • Excellent knowledge of project management techniques: including stakeholder management, RAID management, benefit management and change control Significant project management experience of complex change
  • Understanding of agile project management concepts and techniques
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills: motivating, influencing and coordinating internal and external stakeholders at all levels to achieve specific aims and objectives
  • Significant project management experience of complex change, from commissioning through to project closure.
  • Significant experience of stakeholder management, RAID management and benefit management
