Job description

About the role

Our Information and Advice team has an exciting opportunity for someone with excellent communications skills to deliver a new Scams Prevention and Awareness Programme. Each year, millions of people in the UK are scammed. With funding from the Lloyds Bank Foundation, we aim to prevent hundreds of local older people (aged 50+) becoming victims of scams and to support those who have already been scammed, so that they feel safer and less likely to be scammed again.

The successful candidate will have previous experience of working with older people and an up to date knowledge of scams. It will involve providing both one to one advice and holding events in the community. Understanding the needs of and issues affecting older people is essential.

The role is funded initially for a period of two years and will be based at our City Centre offices. The service will operate via telephone, email and face to face. Regular travel throughout the city will be required to community hubs and home visits. Travel expenses will be covered.

Due to the nature of our work an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate is required the cost of £44 which will be refunded after satisfactorily completing three months employment.
