Senior Mobile Developer - Manchester - Permanent

I am working in collaboration with a unique Manchester based client. They are seeking a Senior Mobile Developer to join them on an exciting journey and be part of their growing team on a permanent basis.

They are dedicated to helping you know your body better than ever before, driven by the latest science and enabled through beautiful design. They produce revolutionary smart sportswear; tracking and monitoring your metrics, giving you the most accurate data and guiding you to success.

The role purpose

Define and lead the Front End architecture and standards of mobile app development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be the lead developer in the app team to define the standards on designing and developing consumer facing applications
  • Collaborate with other developers in successful build, test and release of features and products
  • Collaborate with designers, testers and the larger software & hardware engineering teams
  • Incorporate end user feedback into the development process
  • Lead the Front End development process, setting standards and guiding and mentoring other Front End developers

Experience, skills, qualifications

Essential

  • React Native (2+ years)
  • iOS Native development experience and/or Android Native development experience
  • Experience integrating with external devices (eg through BLE)
  • Test-Driven Development
  • Git and GitHub
  • Strong attention to detail

Desirable

  • Deploying Apps to the iTunes App Store and Android Play Store
  • Experience integrating with AWS services (eg AppSync, S3)
  • Experience defining and driving code and development standards
