Job description

An excellent opportunity, inside IR35, exists for an experienced Senior Site Agent to support the Construction Manager whilst leading the team in all aspects of the delivery of a major infrastructure project. Experience in the delivery of major highway schemes for a tier one/principal contractor is sought after.

Duties include the following -

Managing the strict adherence of the project's SHE processes and requirements at all times.

NEC contract administration to client and supply chain (SI, EWNs, GCs, TQs and defects).

Leading and mentoring a team to optimise delivery.

Contributing to the programme to ensure requirements and timescales are met.

Management of site logistics and interface constraints, collaborative planning and production control processes.

Assisting the commercial team, including managing budgets and risk.

Co-ordination of designers, multiple contractors, and other stakeholders.

Oversight and management of design change and technical issues impacting the strategic plan.

Identifying and driving value engineering and continuous improvement.

Ensuring all works are constructed in accordance with the works information.

Contribution to ensure adherence to quality processes including ITPs, MARs and Quality handover information.

Requirements for this post include

Civil Engineering related qualification (BSc MSc, BEng, MEng).

Incorporated or Chartered Engineers or members of similar professional bodies or otherwise have a demonstrable route to the same.

Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS).

Site Management Safety Training Scheme SMSTS.

Significant experience delivering infrastructure projects in a site role.

Other training such as IPAF, TWS, TWC, AP, First Aid, etc to be listed on CV.

Good written and oral communication skills.

Experience of working in a highly collaborative and team orientated environment.

Ability to mentor and develop members of the team.

The ability to manage and control tasks of a team and subcontractors.

Experience in some or all: earthworks, piling, FRC, drainage, pavements, structural steelwork and vehicle restraint systems.
