You'll be asked to lead a diverse mix of large complex, non-complex and multidiscipline projects within the organisation. This is an opportunity for you to showcase your technical abilities, prove how you proactively plan, and demonstrate your desire to oversee and efficiently manage projects in a timely manner. This is an exciting time to join as a project manager, and the role will be under a hybrid working model.Who we are looking for?We are looking for a Project Manager who will demonstrate the strongest direction and leadership of all activities associated with the full life cycle delivery of the major contracts assigned. Reporting directly to stakeholders you will need to have the ability to influence people, have a keen eye for detail and ultimately deliver projects within time, budget and quality constraints.What will you be doing?Managing the Customer Interface and associated management of the project including identification and monitoring of project risks (threats and opportunities), planning and implementing response to these and responding to other issues that affect the projectEstablishing and maintaining governance arrangements for the delivery of the project , defining clear roles, responsibilities and accountabilities that align with the EDF Investment Delivery processLeading the project to deliver world class performance by means of employee engagement, continuous improvement and identifying and implementing the latest technologyAccountable for planning and monitoring the programme (profit & loss) ; agree plans with the Project Portfolio Manager and submit regular Monthly Review Reports indicating any deviations and corrective action takenLead on Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Quality within the projectResponsible for forming and managing effective relationships with project stakeholdersThe experience you'll bringExperience in a Project Manager position within the Nuclear industry preferred.Awareness of various contracting methodologies (FIDIC/NEC3/JCT)Full project lifecycle experience from bid phase through to close outA bachelor's degree in engineering / project / construction management or a related field (or equivalent)APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ) (previously APMP), working towards Chartered Project Professional (ChPP)IOSH Managing Safely or higher safety qualifications preferredDesirable Technical Skills - Team Management, Consolidated Planning, Contract, Risk and Requirements Management, Budgeting and Cost Control, Stakeholder and Communication skillsWhat a role with Cavendish Nuclear offers?Generous holiday entitlementCompetitive money purchase pension scheme with life assuranceShare ownership schemeAccess to make a difference for a sustainable environment for futureA tailored personal development and training programme.Autonomy.
