Job description

Regular weekend overtime paid at 150% & 200%, a pension scheme paying up to 15% and 33 days holiday are just a few of the perks that the CNC Miller will enjoy whilst working with this large Engineering business.

Because of heightened demand of their products & services, this long established, globally operating business are now recruiting a number of positions, including a CNC Miller for their newest machine, a Siemens controlled Burkhardt & Weber MCX 1400. The successful CNC Miller will be required to set, operate and edit programs on this machine, no programming from scratch will be required.

Based in Rochdale, this employer is easily commutable from surrounding towns & cities including Halifax, Oldham, Manchester, Bury, Bolton and Todmorden.

The successful CNC Miller will:

Hold formal qualifications within Mechanical Engineering or similar (Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, BTEC, HNC, HND etc.) OR be a time served CNC Machinist/Engineer
Have strong knowledge & experience working on ISO controls (Fanuc, HAAS, Siemens, Okuma or similar) and be able to edit & modify programs independently
Be comfortable working in a heavy engineering environment and ideally have experience operating overhead cranes

Working Hours of the CNC Miller:

35.5 Hours per week based on a permanent night shift:
Monday to Wednesday - 8:30PM to 6AM
Thursday - 9PM to 6AM
Overtime weekend offered (1 in 2 weekends) paying 150% on Saturdays & 200% on Sundays - on average employees here work an average of 12 hours on a fortnightly basis

In return, the CNC Miller will receive:

Renumeration: £30,362.08 (£23,536.50 Base salary + 29% shift allowance)
Holiday Allowance: 33 Days per annum
Company Pension Scheme: Up to 15% combined contribution
