Tradewind are recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant at an outstanding special needs primary school in the Rochdale area.

To join us and be successful in this SEN Teaching Assistant role, you will need to:

Have an enhanced DBS certificate (or be happy to apply for a new one), Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks.
Provide a CV with at least 10 years employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained.
Have the legal right to work in the UK.

About the role:

SEN Teaching Assistant for a special needs primary school in Manchester.
Start date: ASAP
Full time and long term with the potential to turn in to a permanent contract.
Pay up to £75 per day.
You will supporting pupils with Autism & Complex Needs.
Ideally you will have some previous experience as a Primary Teaching Assistant, Early Years TA, Nursery Nurse, SEN Teaching Assistant or Support Worker with children.
You will need to be patient, empathetic and have a real passion to support young people who have additional obstacles to learning.
You may need to support pupils on a 1:1 basis as well as in small groups.
There will be outside agencies and professionals that support their pupils such as speech & language therapists, physiotherapists, ed psychs etc.

About the pupils:

Pupils are aged 3-11 and have an EHCP for SEN including Autism & Complex Needs.
There are verbal and non verbal pupils, physical needs, sensory needs, medical needs, speech & language needs as well as emotional and behavioural difficulties.
The new SEN Teaching Assistant will need to be empathetic, adaptable, resilient and patient while being able to actively contribute to a stimulating learning environment.
