*Job Title and Grade: * Nursing Assistant (Mental Health) Band 2

*Pay Rates: *Days: £9.57 Saturdays/Nights: £14.53 Sunday/Bank Hols: £19.58

We currently have requirements for Nursing Assistants to join our Client an NHS Trust in the Manchester area supporting patients in inpatient Mental health units and community clinics they deliver care to around 200 different locations in five boroughs:
* *Bury, Oldham and Rochdale* - mental health and learning disability services for children and adults
* *Tameside and Glossop* - children and adult mental health and learning disability services, health improvement.
* *Stockport* - mental health and learning disability services for children and adults
At our client trust, their mental health teams provide care and treatment for people with mild to moderate conditions such as depression, anxiety or dementia, or more serious mental health illnesses such as schizophrenia and bi-polar disorder.

*The Role*
We are looking for candidates that can undertake the following:
* Deliver safe and effective care to patients
* Maintain a safe care environment ie infection control and the safety and welfare of patients, visitors and other staff
* Involve and encourage the patient's family and friends to be actively involved in the caring process
* Works as part of a multi-disciplinary team with good interpersonal and customer care skills and a tactful and empathetic approach
* Recognises, reviews and reports any changes to patients/client's condition, including any action taken to the nurse in charge of the patient
* Priorities care and attention required by patients
To apply for this post, we are looking for candidates who have one of the following:
* You will also have a minimum of 6 months Mental Health Care Support Work in the UK (Private or NHS) hospital / UK Prison/specialist Mental Health Care Home experience within the last 2 years or
* Currently studying Adult Mental Health Nursing (Student Nurse) and completed a minimum of 12 weeks clinical placement
* MUST be PMVA or equivalent restraint training and valid certification
Qualifications:
* Mental Health Student Nurse - at least 12 weeks clinical placement or
* QCF Level 3 or above Diploma in Health or QCF Level 2 or above in Healthcare Support services or
* Degree/diploma in Mental Health or Learning disability Nursing and currently DO NOT have NMC registration
