Job description

A leading supplier of elderly residential care with a CQC rating of GOOD is seeking an enthusiastic Night Lead Carer to join their already established successful team. The organisation is a family run company and delivers a person-centred approach to care to all residents. It is also on a bus route so is very easy to get too. You will join the team on a 30-hour contract and work the night rota, from 9:30pm to 8am which Is a two-week rolling rota.

As a night lead youll need a minimum of 2 years experience within elderly residential care, you will be required to shift lead, administer medication, and generally always oversee the staff team.

You will also be required to complete the following as a part of your role;

Carry out regular discreet checks on all residents at intervals specified.

Carry out regular fire prevention and security checks of the premises at intervals specified.

Answer emergency calls, assess situation, deal with the resident needs or summon assistance as needed.

Answer call bells and assist residents who need reassurance, comfort, a drink, or help with washing, dressing, undressing or the toilet.

Help residents with mobility problems or other physical disabilities including incontinence.

Provide comfort with dignity, and help in the use and care of aids and personal equipment.

Care for residents who are temporarily sick, need minor dressings or bed nursing.

Help care for residents who are dying.

Change and make beds that become soiled during the night.

Undertake various domestic duties during the night such as, cleaning, table and tray laying, preparing vegetables, etc

Inspect, mend and launder residents clothing.

Read and write reports.

For your hard work and commitment, youll be paid £10.50 to £10.75 per hour and have the opportunity to build your career and complete your NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care.
