Crane Operator/ Material Re-Handler
Hours and location
The role is full time, permanent and based at Ward, Mineral Quay Road, Immingham Docks, Immingham, DN40 2LZ.
This position involves working NIGHTS between 18.00 pm and 06.00 am.
Please note that occasional weekend work may be required. Overtime will be paid at a higher rate and there is a competitive night shift allowance as part of this package.
The Role:
We are looking for three experienced Crane Drivers/Material Re-Handlers to join our busy team at our dedicated deep sea export dock facility at Immingham. You will be part of a hardworking team of Ward employees who support in the recycling of over half a million tonnes of ferrous and non-ferrous metals each year. Reporting to the Site Manager, you will carry out associated duties with loading vessels ready for shipment around the world.
Requirements:
The successful candidates will have experience working as a Crane Driver/Material Re-Handler. They will be self motivated, hardworking, team players who are able to work occasional weekends as required.
* Operate crane and other equipment in a safe, competent manner
* Monitor materials and report and non-acceptable material items
* Reform material pile to ensure most effective grab volume
* Maintain clean and safe work environment
