Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications and the school hours. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are 3 months experience within a school supporting Teaching and Learning.
Immediate starts available/January 2022
Vision for Education is currently recruiting a Teaching Assistant/TA/LSA for a long-term, full-time position working within a large Primary School in Lincoln. The ideal candidate will have experience working with primary aged children with mild to moderate SEND requirements, supporting teaching and learning. The role will be a mixture of working with children with SEND to support with behaviour, keeping the pupils on task, and supporting with work as well as working with small groups needing catch up sessions.
This is a full-time, long-term supply role, so the ability to commit to the role would be required in this instance. However, if you are looking for a role with flexibility and adaptability, we also supply schools on a daily supply basis which may be of interest to you. Outstanding candidates may be considered for a permanent role.
The role
As an SEND Teaching Assistant/Learning Support Assistant, you will be working within the SEND provision inside of a large primary school. You will be working on a one to one and small group basis with students who have varying additional needs, supporting in both mainstream lessons and within the internal SEND division.
Requirements
To be considered for the position of SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:
• Have experience working with primary school aged children.
• A good understanding of SEND and a nurturing approach.
• Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of Teaching Assistants.
• Have a passion for working with children and ensuring good outcomes.
