We have numerous vacancies for Production Operatives, based Scunthorpe . This is a full-time position, on a permanent contract. The successful candidate will report to the Production Supervisors.As an Operative your primary function will be to accurately assembly components into high specification electronic cabling and applying the knowledge and training that will be provided by the Company for the right candidates.As a successful candidate you will have great attention to detail and good hand and eye coordination. Having the ability to concentrate for long periods of time you will excel in working to strict tolerances and deadlines as required to meet our customer order book. To be able to manipulate components efficiently you will have a good manual dexterity. You will demonstrate a willingness to work and have a good positive attitude.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Successful candidates will be required, but not limited, to undertake:-Cable preparation for soldering and crimping techniquesCutting and stripping of cable to correct measurementsFlux applications and cleaning techniquesHeat shrinking using a heat gun and understanding the temperature and techniques requiredUse of test meter and other test equipmentEnd to end completion of cable assemblies, ensuring products are finished to a high standardAny other cable assembly duties as requiredFollowing health and safety advice at all times and reporting any concerns to your direct line managerKNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:Essentia lTo understand Company policies, procedures and other relevant correspondence, drawings and metric and imperial measurements, a basic understanding of written and spoken English along with basic mathematics is required.Desirable (Preferred but not essential):Experience within an electronics/manufacturing environment would be advantageous.Experience of reading schematic drawings.IPC 620 is preferred but not essential.The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
