Assistant Management Accountant Job, Greater Manchester, Technology, between \u00A325000 and \u00A330000 per year

Your new role
In your new role of Assistant Management Accountant you will be working closely with the Management Accountant providing key support for our European Financial Accounting & Reporting Team for the UK. You will provide operational support to the Financial Accounting & Reporting Manager to facilitate timely month end closing, delivering accurate information and data for inclusion in monthly management account packs and planning, complying with all legislative and regulatory requirements. You will be operationally supporting the month end closing for the designated local office ensuring achievement of agreed service levels and levels with established polices while liaising with the local office finance business partner for any required adjustments and finance approvals. Ensure adherence to financial laws and guidelines for designated local office.
You will be required to support the Financial Accounting and reporting finance manager in the production of the standard MA pack for designated local office each month including the completion of quarterly reporting pack with input and approval from the office finance partner prior to submission. You will also be required to gather and analyse key financial data and metrics to support the business as directed by the finance accounting and reporting finance manager. Any other duties to support the team as requested by line management.
What you'll need to succeed
A shared services background is essential and a requirement for this role. You will need to be a member of the centre of excellence and ensure its deliverable s to all local office are met, both in terms of compliance and timing. You will need to be an experienced finance professional with appropriate qualifications either full or part qualified. You will be an effective communicator and have the ability to engage at all levels. Confident and resilient you will also have excellent critical thinking skills with strong problem solving ability. With excellent presentation skills you will also have a strong ability to analyse, scrutinise and manage data. Experience of working with SAP and ERP and being proficient in Microsoft Office applications is also essential.
