Data Governance Manager

Contract: Permanent working 35 hours per week

Salary: £39,000 per annum

Location: Based at one of the Arts Council's offices in Manchester, Newcastle, Leeds, Birmingham, Nottingham, Cambridge, Brighton or Bristol

Arts Council England is looking to recruit a full-time Data Governance Manager, and the role comes with a salary of £39,000. As a Data Governance Manager, you will establish and maintain a robust governance framework to ensure consistency, quality, and appropriate use of data across the Arts Council.

To give you an idea of how this Data Governance Manager role would look and feel, here are some of the things you can expect to do:

  • Champion the value of our data assets
  • Manage key relationships across technical/non-technical teams
  • Streamline how data is collected, stored, and used
  • Create conceptual models and data flow diagrams
  • Establish a data catalogue/dictionary

To succeed in this role, you will need relevant experience in a data focussed role together with proven aptitude and enthusiasm for data governance as a discipline and the ability to evolve and define data governance and take responsibility for collaborating and supporting wider governance.

Other requirements include:

  • Experience in change control management and ensuring consistency in an evolving data ecosystem
  • Knowledge of data structures, standards, and security practices
  • Excellent communication, consultancy, problem-solving and organisational skills
  • An understanding of the Arts Council's duty as a public body
  • An understanding of regulatory and legal requirements and privacy regulations
