Your new role

our new role will be to conduct independent firm wide compliance audits in line with agreed compliance audit programmes, undertaking audits and reviews to monitor and report upon compliance to internal procedures, regulatory and best practice standards, and key Service Level Agreements. In addition undertake Management system audits for all standards implemented and introduced within the business, including ISO standards. The role will also support the group Life and a culture of excellence and continuous improvement that is nurtured within the business. Alongside this, the role will require sharing understanding of requirements, facilitating discussions to enable improvement activities, as well as liaising with all Divisions, Practice Groups and management teams to develop, monitor and ensure all quality standards are met and messages are delivered professionally, effectively and timely to the teams involved.
Main Duties:

* To support the Risk and Excellence team in the completion of the firm wide programme of compliance audits
* To provide an independent appraisal of the effectiveness and compliance with certifications, QMS and procedures, SLA's and where appropriate regulatory requirements.
* Where necessary, undertake file reviews against regulatory internal and Client standards, and interview a sample number of the team being audited.
* To provide written reports detailing the findings and trends at specific audit level, at Team, Practice Group, Division and firm wide level as appropriate.
* Running reports\/ analysing findings reviewing outputs working with management to identify and implement solutions
* Assisting with prep for ISO visits including logistics - working with manager to undertaken gap analysis running workshops where appropriate,
* Continuing assessment developing and sharing of best practice through training modules. Workshops and 1-2-1s across the business.
* In depth understanding on P&Ps be able to guide lead and facilitate discussions and raise awareness across the business.
* Understanding of the risk \/impact of any areas of non-compliance identified, and sharing best practice. To present the audit findings and agree actions with the relevant department head and teams.
* To raise corrective actions where necessary, based on the audit findings and identification of timescales for action to be taken.
* To monitor implementation of actions, to chase and escalate where necessary and according to timescales.
* Sharing understanding of requirements with the relevant stakeholders, facilitating discussions to enable improvement activities, and identify timescales for implementation.
* To identify areas for improvement and to make recommendations on improvements to policies, procedures and systems as best practice is identified.
* To participate in the regular review of the Compliance Audit Process.
* To undertake additional activities or projects to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the Risk and Excellence Team.
The above is not an exhaustive list and there is an expectation that different tasks will be performed as necessitated by changes to the organisation, the team and the overall business objectives.

What you'll need to succeed

* Experience of conducting independent compliance audits across a range of procedures, processes, regulatory standards and quality management systems in an objective manner.
* Excellent communication skills and a proven track record in building successful relationships with stakeholders.
* Ability to present compliance audit findings\/areas for improvement to a range of stakeholders
* Ability to facilitate and enable discussions to generate improvement activity ideas\/solutions
* Ability to self-motivate and work on own initiative as well as being an excellent team player with a positive and \"can-do\" attitude
* Well organised with a smart and professional approach the ability to prioritise, multi-task and effectively manage own time
* Strong PC skills with an organised approach to document storage.
* Uses initiative and creativity in problem solving.
* Excellent accuracy skills with a keen eye for attention to detail.
* We would typically expect around 3 years' experience in a similar role and ideally prior experience of or awareness of International standards with a minimum of either ISO 9001, ISO 14001 or ISO 27001.
