Maintenance Technician

We have been instructed to find a Maintenance Technician for one of our clients based in Carrington on a state-of-the-art facility. The Maintenance Technician will report to the Depot Manager.

This is a double days position with the early shift 08:00 - 16:30 and the afternoon shift 12:00 - 20:00. Monday to Friday

The Maintenance Technician will be Responsible for ensuring that the depot fixed and mobile assets, have a greater than 95% availability through both planned and unplanned maintenance that is carried out in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.

The main responsibilities of the role….

To comply with all H&S regulations regarding equipment installations, maintenance, and daily inspections and report any operational issues.
To ensure that all contract targets are met and all best practices and legal compliances for maintaining equipment are always adhered to.
To ensure that the depot is maintained allowing the facility to be operated at its optimum.
First point of contact for unplanned maintenance
Keeps accurate maintenance record keeping against planned and unplanned maintenance work.
Complete defect reports in a timely manner and reports to the line manager.
To plan, follow up, and document the preventive maintenance for the equipment. We are looking for….

Mechanical or electrical engineer qualifications - Essential
3-5 years experience in maintenance roles.
Multi-skilled in both electrical and mechanical disciplines
Experience of planned preventative maintenance systems
