This is a great role; working for a successful, profitable and stable industry client, you will bring a dose of enthusiasm, initiative, excellent numeric skills and a keen understanding of the principals of accountancy and finance! Covering purchase ledger duties on a day to day basis, your role will reach so much further than accounts payable; you will support the finance function overall and assist the management accountant in gathering financial data for monthly reporting, assist with month end and audit, help to prepare budgets and forecasts, liaise with key stakeholders across the business and generally prove yourself to be an invaluable member of the accounting team! In terms of experience, some basic purchase ledger would be ideal, but key to this role is a grasp of accounting principals and process...... this position will be the perfect opportunity to put those into action.

You will need to be available to start immediately or within the next 6 weeks and the position is permanent so not suitable for those looking for a placement year......but for a 2021 graduate with some exposure to a finance department, this is an incredible career opportunity. You will need to be familiar with accountancy software (a SAGE module may come in handy here) and have strong MS Excel skills for the purposes of data manipulation. the role will be hybrid to start, but is likely to be totally office based in the mid to long term; this isn't suitable for remote working so please only apply if you are a daily commutable distance from Port Talbot.
