Salary is competitive, and is dependant on experience and qualifications.
Role and Responsibilities
* Prepare design calculations and drawings under the supervision of a Senior Engineer.
* Support Senior Engineers in carrying out the project design from commencement to completion.
* Use Highways Act, Water Industry Act, Land Drainage Act, Now Roads and Street works Act, and other statutory Instruments effectively.
* Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and other construction professionals about projects.
* Attend meetings with clients and other construction professionals.
* Keep up to date with the CPD requirements within the ICE.
* Work towards your Chartership with the support of your mentor and colleagues regularly and systematically.
* Keep up to date with the CPD requirements within the IStructE/ICE.
* Carry out thorough site investigations, complete inspections, identify issues and solve problems.
* Follow instruction, but confident enough to ask for explanation if required.
* Show initiative and manage time effectively.
Software Capabilities
* Use AutoCAD 2D Drafting, PDS Site Developer / Civil 3D, Flow / Micro-drainage or similar hydraulic design software, TEDDS, and other industry recognised software.
Education Requirements
* BSc/B.Eng or equivalent degree from an ICE approved course.
