The Older Adult Community Mental Health Teams (CMHT) have exciting opportunities for Support, Time Recovery Workers to join our busy Older Adult Mental Health Teams, on a short term contract for 6 months, over the winter months to support our work, both in hours (9am-5pm) and out of hours work in the evenings (till 8pm) and weekends (9am-5pm).

Initially for six months the funding will be reviewed with the possibility of permanent posts in the Trust becoming available. The teams are responsible for providing care and treatment to older adults with mental health problems living in Oxfordshire and the posts are based in each of the three older adult teams based in Abingdon, Oxford and Banbury with all weekend shifts being based in Oxford.

You will be part of a motivated, supportive and cohesive multi-disciplinary Mental Health Team where your contribution is highly important. The team actively promotes a multi-disciplinary approach to the care coordination of our clients.

The post holder will be based out of one of the team bases but will be required to work across the whole of Oxfordshire at weekends. You will need to liaise with a range of professionals and teams across older adult mental health services and undertake a variety of roles depending on the requirements of the individual service user.

We are looking for positive, reliable and flexible individuals to join the teams and work alongside care coordinators to support service users living in the community. You will assist care coordinator's in planning, implementing and evaluating individual care plans by working alongside the client. Your duties will also include supporting service users to engage effectively with the agreed care plans. Your will be actively supporting individual clients in engaging with their local community and reducing social isolation.

Out of hours work will include making supportive telephone calls to patients, making visits to patients where essential e.g. for emergency shopping or prescriptions, supporting qualified clinicians in visits to patients in crisis and managing admin tasks within the office.

The posts are full time working 37.5 hours with a mixture of shifts covering day time, evening and weekends All shifts will be within the hours of 9am -8pm. Part time hours will also be considered. Applicants should state in their application if they have a preferred locality to work in.
