Job description

Activate Learning are now seeking to appoint Catch-up Tutors to provide intensive support to our students who have experienced a disruption to their education due to Covid-19.

This is an excellent opportunity for subject knowledge or industry experts to work alongside our established teaching teams and deliver catch up tuition to small groups of students ensuring that we maximise their learning opportunities, overcome any barriers to learning and support them to reach their full potential.

We are now looking for Tutors to support students on our Health and Social Care and Early Years vocational courses at Banbury and Bicester College, please state on your application form which subject you would like to support.

The Catch-up tutor role is offered on a casual contract, part time hours - rate of pay between £19.24 - £29.07 per hour depending on skills and experience. We would appreciate candidates detailing their availability on their application.

What do you need to be successful in this role?

Successful candidates will have a relevant professional qualification and experience of working within a Health or Social Care or Early Years environment. Ideally, you will have experience of teaching or an understanding of teaching techniques, how people learn and the factors which affect their success.

In addition, you will need to have a flexible approach, coupled with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. You will demonstrate the ability to engage and develop students and role model the attributes that we develop within our learners.
