The Boeing Company is seeking Software Engineers to join their Enterprise DevSecOps team in the UK.
Positions within Boeing Defence UK will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense Systems (BDS) business organization and broader Boeing Enterprise.
In this role, you will help guide the Boeing transformation of DevSecOps across our business units. Successful candidates will design, implement, and continuously improve a modern system deployment using Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) workflows. We operate as a fast paced agile team and seek candidates with skills in DevSecOps, Cloud environments, software development, test automation, and system automation.
The positions will place you in roles where you have the opportunity to make an impact on the results of our project. The DevSecOps team offers a collaborative mentoring environment where you have the opportunity to learn from or lead others both locally and internationally.
Position responsibilities:
Develop and enhance our DevSecOps operations in multiple environments, including a Cloud Service environment
Perform in the entire software development life cycle of the DevSecOps tool chain
Collaborate on idea creation, development, and maintenance of the DevSecOps tool chain
Support the software quality efforts of our Boeing product deliveries to our customers
Technology areas of this position are:
Agile product development
Continuous integration, automated testing, and delivery
Rolling out upgrades to our software factories as needed
Work closely with International teams featuring developers across multiple time zones
Suggest modifications to the DevSecOps workflow to improve efficiency
Research and pitch new tools/products to the team
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering or any relevant technical field and related work experience
Deep experience with containerisation and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes
Experience working with and supporting systems with Linux Operating System (OS)
Experience with Cloud technologies, such as AZURE or AWS
Proficiency in technologies such as Git, Ansible, Chef, Prometheus, Grafana, AppDynamics
Experience with automation and CI/CD techniques
Basic understanding of computer networking, including network security and communications encryption
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with configuration, integration, deployment and utilisation of tools such as Postgres, FreeIPA, GitLab, Jenkins, Jira, Helm, Aqua, Nexus
Strong communication skills with the ability to thrive in a remote working environment.
Awareness of security controls and operations in a Defence environment
Understanding of Istio/Service Mesh
Programming skills in Python

Willingness and eligibility to undergo SC clearance
