Areas of responsibility include, Engineering Design and Analysis, Project Engineering and Technical Services.Specific Duties and Responsibilities:Be responsible for design concept, evaluation selection and adaptation or modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.Responsible for feasibility studies and tests new and modified designs. May advise support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing and prototype fabrication.Modelling and producing specific parts of new products, adhering to all applicable regulatory standardsFamiliar with engineering design of mechanical enclosure and structural solutions, with emphasis on thermal management and Mechanical Assembly.Familiar with electrical design and relevant regulatory standards, knowledge of European codes is a plusFamiliar with manufacturing processes and limitations of sheet metal, poles, and plastics.Familiar with SAP and 3D software (such as SolidWorks); and simulation software, such as ANSYS workbench.Provide technical support to operation line, such as solving problems in batch production and logistics from design aspect.Acts as a key contributor within a project team. Direct or coordinate work of drafters, technicians, and other non-exempt personnel.Required Qualifications:A bachelors' or masters'degree or equivalent experience with industry specific mechanical/structural design knowledgeYou Will Excite Us If You HaveProven experience in analysis and design of enclosure/structural designExperience in developments of products from components to higher level assemblies.Experience in engineering validation, testing and debugging.Excellent problem solving, team play, and interpersonal communication skills are essential.Why CommScope?It's not very often you get a chance to connect with something extraordinary.
