Due to the Senior Tree Officer being a new role, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to create and shape key processes.The Senior Tree Officer has been created to ensure specialist knowledge and input can be made available to support the Transport Development Control Team with decision making by leading on complex arboricultural matters throughout the development management process. These will include:Town and Country Planning Act Regulation 3Highways Act s278 agreementsHighways Act s38 agreementsThe role will be varied and is focused on problem solving in an innovative way. You will promote transparency and build trust with other departments, our communities and stakeholders through our decision making processes.You will contribute to tree management of Oxfordshire County Council's tree stock by supporting Tree Officers in the Tree Service to ensure a holistic and consistent approach to tree management across the County.
