Find out more about our business on the Corporate Responsibility and Performance pages.Job Description*** This is a UK home based role, although you may be required to attend customer offices and NEC sites for meetings, from time to time ***NEC have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Software Developer due to continued expansion.This is an excellent opportunity for talented experienced Developer with .Net skills to join an established international company. Our Document Solutions team are market leading and have been established for almost 30 years. Over that time NEC have continued to invest and innovate our solutions making them the biggest supplier of Document Management software in UK Local Government.You will contribute to all technical aspects of the software development cycle including design, support, development, testing and the production of documentation. You will be used to tight deadlines and project constraints and be capable of discussing complex concepts with the various stakeholders using strong communication skills.QualificationsMinimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience (2+ years developer experience)
  • Demonstrable experience in Web Applications running on IIS with SQL Server
  • SQL Server Databases including database design.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office or G-Suite
  • Languages: C#, XML, , HTML5, SQL, JQuery, Javascript
  • Microsoft ASP .NET MVC
  • Using Microsoft Development tools (Visual Studio, TFS\Dev Ops)
  • XSLT, AJAX, JSON, Bootstrap, knockout
  • Working in an Agile scrum environment
Preferred Experience:
  • Experience in document management applications
  • UI/UX experience
  • Powershell experience
  • Working within cloud development environment
  • Azure PaaS
  • Public Sector applications
Must Have Skills:
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze requirements and understand the technology implications of the requirements to make independent decisions quickly and effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with colleagues, customers and partners
  • Excellent communication skills, organizational skills, prioritization skills, documentation skills, problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Must be a self-motivated person with a drive for continuous learning and improvement
