Are you looking to gain vast experience in working with complex learning disabilities?

One of the leading schools in Oxford is looking for a graduate to become part of their growing team. A Psychology, Criminology, Sociology or relevant degree is ideal. This role will allow you to support children with Learning Disabilities and Autism. All relevant prior experience will be considered. This is a long term role, providing a fantastic opportunity to further your knowledge within a SEN setting, whilst gaining first-hand experience of providing essential mental health support. The children t such school range from 5-16 years, all who will highly benefit from an encouraging and empathetic individual who wants to have an input in a supporting those most vulnerable.

This school chooses to step away from the more traditional approach of lesson structure through undertaking more therapeutic approach, which enables the children to broaden their education past the classroom. For recent graduates this is a great opportunity to hand extensive experience and work alongside a school based psychologist and therapist, through shadowing sessions and being mentored throughout. This would be a fantastic head start for an aspiring SEN teacher, support worker or psychologist.

A positive, enthusiastic individual who is able to bring previous knowledge and experience to the classroom is exactly what this school is looking for. The students within such school require a supportive teaching assistant who able to adapt to different situations. With SEN widely varying, the children have many different needs, which should always be a priority. Suitable experience from working with either SEN children or adults is greatly beneficial. A minimum of Level 3 qualifications or equivalent is required, with a degree being most desirable.
