Product Stewardship Operations provides regulatory compliance support in response to customer compliance assurance requirements and enables product compliance as required by technology functions and geographic and global business sales, marketing and supply chain teams to ensure compliant and sustainable business continuity and the saleability, marketability and delivery of products. This means delivering timely expert guidance and support related to international chemical control, product hazard communication, associated product HSSE, import, export and trade legislation.
Job AdvertAccountabilities

• Implementation of product regulatory compliance programmes / activities applicable to national and regional chemical control, product HSE, import / export and other relevant regulatory requirements across all bp businesses / functions globally.
• Deliver product regulatory compliance support and assurance in response to customers, OEMs geographical regions, bp businesses sales or marketing teams and other technology functions across the product life cycle.

• Product registrations/ notifications/ exemptions for compliance through the application or obtaining relevant expertise.
• Anticipate potential future product stewardship barriers, either when first placing products on the market or to protect market share for existing products.

About youIdeally, you'll hold a degree in Chemistry (preferred) or other equivalent science ( Biology, Toxicology, Safety or Industrial Hygiene) degrees.

You will have a solid background in ensuring compliance to international chemical control and other relevant legislation. Strong interpersonal skills and capability to contribute to the team effort and product regulatory compliance projects/programs. Possess the ability to understand the regulatory landscape within which the business is operating and the impact, read, understand and interpret complex technical, legislative and regulatory information and contribute to the development and implementation of regulatory compliance programs. Able to make independent contributions with some infrequent supervision and self-initiate tasks.

Someone who is empathetic, curious and enthusiastic about working with various internal and external stakeholders across the product lifecycle to ensure compliance but also attending conferences and relevant trade association and expert committee/panel meetings with demonstrable up-to-date knowledge of international chemical control legislation through monitoring the regulatory environment, reviewing regulatory information and industry/ regulatory authority communications.

Other personal attributes will include a focus on customers; a self-driven team player that is able to multi-task and prioritise effectively. Detail oriented and results driven; able to manage projects and solve problems effectively.
