This role profile is a guide to the work you will initially be required to undertake. Operational Excellence

  • To ensure compliance with Security Industry Authority requirements
  • To make sure you are compliant with the legal, contractual and Company requirements for security, fire, safety, health and hygiene
  • To report health and safety issues to your line manager, including all accidents and near misses
  • To promote good safety habits and methods of work
  • To assist in preventing acts of violence, crime or disorder and to investigate incidents of theft, criminal damage, etc which may occur
  • To adhere to the security tasks as laid out in the agreed Security Assignment Instructions. These tasks may include (but not limited to):

  • Site Patrols
  • Emergency Procedures
  • Access Control
  • Key Management
  • CCTV Monitoring
  • Alarm Monitoring
  • Lost and found
  • Car Park Management
  • Removal of trespassers and unauthorised persons where appropriate
  • Adhering to Site Specific Procedures (SOP's)

Health & Safety

  • Complete the One Compass Welcome prior to the commencement of employment.
  • Receive, read and understand the contents of the Employee Guide to Working with Compass
  • Taking reasonable care for your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by what you do or what you fail to do.
  • Co-operate with your line manager on HSE matters.
  • Correctly using work equipment, personal protective equipment in accordance with training and instructions provided.
  • Not interfere with or mis-use anything provided for HSE purposes.
  • Report HSE hazards, accidents, incidents, illness and diseases to your line manager.
  • Complete Level 2 HSE e-learning "Working Safely" within 20 weeks of commencing employment.

Person Specification

High degree of integrity and honesty. Displays a reliable, responsible, flexible, can do approach to work duties with a passion to provide high standards of customer care and supports colleagues to achieve personal and team goals.

Essential

  • High standards of customer care
  • Hold relevant SIA licenses
  • 1 st Aid certification T. skills
  • Ability to work under pressure

Desirable

  • Experience of working in security

Equipment Requirements

  • Uniform
  • PPE (if applicable)

Learning & Development Requirements

  • Completion of One Compass Welcome Induction Programme.
  • Completion of on-site induction.
  • Basic health and safety training gained within first 6 months and refreshed annually.
